Welcome to the website of American Chemical Society (ACS) Brazosport Local Section. ACS Brazosport was established in 1959 and has served the Sourthern Houston Brazoria community for over 60 years. Here you will find our leadership team, our events, news, opportunities for volunteering, as various resources for chemical safety, education, and career development.

The American Chemical Society (ACS) is the world's largest scientific society and one of the world's leading sources of authoritative scientific information.  A nonprofit organization, chartered by Congress, ACS is at the forefront of the evolving worldwide chemical enterprise and the premier professional home for chemists, chemical engineers and related professions around the globe.

The Brazosport ACS Local Section is aligned to this mission and aims to be a presence in the Brazoria County community in the areas of STEM, sustainability and professional development.  Our team is largely represented by employees in Industry, and advocates of the sciences.  Through volunteering, networking and  participation in community public forums we look to promote the broader chemical enterprise and grow our members, all the while, supporting young aspiring scientists and educators in our community.
