Chemical Technician Award

The ACS Brazosport Section proudly sponsors the annual Chemical Technician Award. This award recognizes a chemical operator, technician or technologist who has demonstrated an extremely high degree of professionalism as a Chemical Technician.

ELIGIBILITY:

Nominees must live OR work in Brazoria County and must have worked for (at least) five years as a chemical technician (or in a related field) where primary job responsibilities include conducting experimentation or analyzing information to help solve chemical problems or discover new chemical knowledge. Nominees must have successfully completed a two-year post-high school level chemistry curriculum leading to an Associate Degree, the equivalent course in a Baccalaureate Program, or have equivalent experience. Chemical technicians do not need to be an ACS member to be eligible for this award.

REQUIRED NOMINATION COMPONENTS:

• At least one letter of recommendation from someone familiar with the candidate's work

• The complete nomination form as a single pdf file

 

AWARD:

The award consists of one-year membership in the American Chemical Society and a plaque presented at the annual Brazosport ACS Awards Banquet.
