Congratulations to the 2026 High School Scholarship Award Winners

On behalf of the Brazosport Section of the American Chemical Society, we are pleased to announce that after careful review by the award selection committee, Angelina Evora of Angleton High School and Jacob Murphy of Brazoswood High School have been named the winners of the 2026 ACS Brazosport High School Scholarship. The award recognizes and celebrates an outstanding academic achievement in the field of chemistry and a plan to continue their studies (in either chemistry or chemical engineering) at the college or university level.

Several high-quality nominations were submitted and receiving a nomination is a significant recognition. A sincere “thank you” to all the nominators for taking time out to recognize your students.  

Congratulations to all the nominees and scholarship award winners. The award winners will be receiving a $1,000 scholarship and a certificate from the ACS Brazosport Section in the coming weeks. The winners will also be recognized at the ACS awards banquet this year.
